Thinking Outside the (Cereal) Box

Libs,

Because of you I have discovered so many things I may not otherwise have tried: chausson au pomme, Shu Uemura's eyelash curler, and the Belly Bandit post-pregnancy belly wrap thing, among so many others.  All have had great impact on my life and, as such, I feel it is incumbent upon me to share a couple of recent discoveries of my own.  Neither is anything too crazy; both are just different (yet really good) cereals.

The first I saw and purchased randomly at Whole Foods in Redmond, Washington: Primal Island Grain Free Granola.  While it bills itself as a Paleo product, I think we both know that's not what caught my eye (shame).  It's all toasty coconut and nuts, crunchy and sweet and AMAZING in any granola-requring application.  It's made near Seattle, on Whidbey Island, but they also have an online shop where you can buy it yourself.  Expect a package soon!

The next thing is, I have to admit, 100% Tygh's discovery.  He's into weird crunchy and strangely addictive foods, too, and read somewhere about Emmy's Super Cereal. This is the crunchiest cereal of all time, full of sprouted buckwheat groats, coconut nectar, raisins, blueberries and cashews (the flavor we bought, anyway) - all organic, lightly sweetened and so, well, healthy.  I mean, you feel good eating it, like you are accomplishing something meaningful.  Don't get me wrong, though; while this is totally the kind of things that appeals to people who drink green smoothies, it also appeals to those of us who don't.  Can't wait to hear your thoughts (hint hint)!

Any new discoveries on your end?
